Daddy Daycare Ends...Med School Begins

Drew started medical school today. We have been so blessed to have him at home with McNeill since the middle of June. This has been such a special time for the two of them.

Another one of our blessings are our friends who have recently had children or who are expecting. We have all been support systems for one another and hopefully we can continue to do so over the years to come. It's nice to have friends going through parenthood at the same time as you so you can ask questions to one another (i.e. should my hair be falling out as much as it is????). Anyway, our friends the Mastroianni's had Quinn two weeks after McNeill. Luke was able to keep Quinn for the month of June so he and Drew had a daycare session together. I love these pictures that Luke took of the babies! Their expressions are so funny. It's like you can tell what they are thinking.

These pictures are from June 28th....

Family Vacation

We are on our way home from the beach. It has been such a wonderful time and we are sad to come home. We stayed at the Inn by the Sea in Seaside. It was a quaint little place not far from the beach. We didn't move our car the whole time we were there! We ate lots of great food- Bud and Alley's, The Taco Bar, The Pizza Bar, Great Southern, and Shrimp Shack. McNeill was so good. We only took her to the beach for 2-3 hours each day and she loved it. She was so relaxed and always fell asleep. Her BOB stroller was so handy. For any of you debating whether or not to get a jogging stroller, I would definitely recommend it. It pushed on the sand easily and the basket underneath holds a ton.

Last night at dinner I thought I overheard a mother calling her child "McNeill." I went over to talk to them and sure enough, his name was McNeill- spelt the same way too. To make it even weirder, his name was John McNeill (my grandfather's name) and our McNeill is Sarah McNeill (my grandmother's name). Anyway, who knows if we are kin some where down the line but I couldn't believe that we met another McNeill!

Kuddos to children photographers. It is so hard to get McNeill to look at the camera and to catch a smile is even harder!!

Big Girl!

McNeill went to her 4 month check-up yesterday. She weighs 15 lb. 10 oz. and is 25 1/2 inches long! She is in the 90th percentile for weight, height and head circumference. Her doctor said that McNeill is ready to have one serving of baby food a day. Pics to come soon!!

We are on our way to the beach for a little vacation before Drew starts school. We will be in Seaside until Wednesday. Have a good weekend!!

4 Months!

This past Friday McNeill was 4 months old. I know I say this every month, but I really can't believe how big she is getting and how fast it is going by. Her 4 month check-up isn't until the 14th, but I cant wait to see how much she weighs! Some of McNeill's favorite things are- Sophie the Giraffe, putting everything in her mouth (especially her clothes), sitting up (not by herself just yet), and Baby Einstein. The only thing she really dislikes is her WubbaNub....she use to love her paci and now she won't have anything to do with it.

Can you tell I took these pictures right after she woke up???

Happy 4th!

We enjoyed our weekend in Arab with our parents. This is the only picture I got of McNeill in her 4th of July outfit before she had to change :)

Love that she is so happy about spitting up on Drew

She was so happy on the lake. She was so relaxed and content.

I love this sweet look on her face.

This and That...

It has been forever since I have posted. I misplaced my camera cord and finally found it this weekend at the in-laws. We have been busy these past few weeks. Traveling most weekends and still getting adjusted to being a working mom. This first picture is of McNeill swimming almost a month ago. McNeill loves to be outside and loves the water.

Two weekends ago we went to New Orleans. We ate great food and had lots of fun. We miss you Matt and Andrea!!

I love this boy.

This jazz band was playing while we ate. They came to our table and played "Stars Fell on Alabama."
